My Grammy Moment
In 2008, Tara was voted a Top 3 Finalist in YouTube's My Grammy Moment Competition. As a result, she was flown to Los Angeles to perform with the Foo Fighters at the 2008 Grammy Awards.
The My Grammy Moment Competition begain with posting a 1-minute improvised solo on YouTube based on the Foo Fighters' song, "The Pretender." From several hundred entries, public vote determined the top 15 contestants, who became the members of the My Grammy Moment Orchestra.
Of those 15, Tara was a Top 3 Finalist, which meant she was competing for a chance to solo during the Grammy performance with the Foo Fighters. Part of the competition for the solo spot included being introduced on national television at the Grammy's and performing a short solo in front of a live audience and an estimated 17.5 million viewers at home!
